Description: There are a variety of great outdoor activities to enjoy in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The park offers miles of hiking trails, camping areas, horseback riding and mountain biking trails, as well as a geocashing site.

Description: This is the second largest of California's off-highway vehicular parks. The park offers over 19,000 acres and 130 miles of trails for motorcycles, ATVs, dune buggies, and 4x4 vehicles/ Elevations within the park ranged from 3,000-6,000 feet, making the terrain challenging for the off-roader. There are trail areas marked for your level of experience also, so even the beginner can enjoy what this area has to offer.

Description: Day use facilities in the park include grills, picnic sites, and the park office, as well as two trails that lead up to the Saddleback Butte. Camping is also allowed in the authorized area, as is horseback riding on the horse trail.

Description: The majority of the museum collection focuses on Southwestern and Great Basin Indians, though there are some artifacts from other regions. The archeological gems in this museum span nearly 12,000 years of history in the area. Items from the Serrano, Kitanemuk, Tataviam, Kawaiisu, and Chemehuevi people are present, as well as items from the late prehistoric era.

Description: Silverwood Lake is formed by the Cedar Springs Dam and created a great recreation area for the outdoorsman. There are hiking, swimming, boating, waterskiing, and fishing areas within the park, as well as a marina for boating needs and rentals. Description: The Spaceport RV park offers both overnight and long term site rentals. On site there are restrooms, showers, laundry, and seasonally firewood. Also the site provides mailboxes for monthly guests.

Description: This site is part of the 1000 trails campground system. The camp is located along the Santa Clara Streamway, and is over 200 acres of beautiful greenery. There are also 59 trails and 8 cabins that can be rented for use. The facility includes an adult center, ball field, basketball court, camp store, playground, spa, pool, and various other sports activities.

Description: The campsite has various rental options as well as sites to rent. They rent trailers, slide outs, garden homes, models, cabins, and getaway cabins. Wilderness Lakes is known for its fishing, and you can catch catfish right from your campsite. There are also pools, mini-golf, playground, rec building, and sports areas available for use during your stay.

Description: Chino hills allows campers and trailers with a maximum length of 28 feet. The campgrounds are open year round, and work on a first-come, first-served basis, so no reservations are required. If you wish to group camp, please contact the park office. While the park does allow RVs, this is a fragile ecosystem, and there are no hookups.
